New York City Bluemix meetup group is hosting an event "Bluemix Hack Hours 8 – Node.js to MQTT for IoT" on June 14 , 2016 from 6:00 PM at WeWork near Grand Central , 205 East 42nd St, Floor 19, Room 19A, New York, NY.

In this meetup , the organisers will step through the node.js device client and application client code to connect to the Watson IOT platform using MQTT.  They will also show you the code to send status and event updates from an IoT device with Node.js and how to send commands back to the IoT device. You won’t need an actual microboard, as I will demo the code in a Node.js web server.
