Join BDO for the 2027 Audit Industrial Placement programme, where you can apply your university knowledge in a practical setting. This programme offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience, develop essential skills, and potentially secure a position in our Graduate Programme after your placement year.

The placement begins with an organization-wide induction on Monday, 20th September 2027. Throughout the year, you will be involved in various client projects, gaining insights into different sectors such as Pension Audit, Public Sector, Not-for-Profit, Financial Services, and Technology Risk Assurance. You will be supported by a team of over 6,000 professionals across the UK, allowing you to learn from diverse expertise and perspectives.

During your placement, you will:

• Engage in client work and take on increasing responsibilities as you gain experience.
• Develop your technical, commercial, and relationship-building skills through hands-on Audit experience.
• Complete three professional exams and log six months of practical work experience with the relevant Professional Body.
• Have the opportunity to return to BDO on the Graduate Programme, completing your remaining exams and training in 2.5 years, qualifying approximately six months earlier due to your placement experience.
• Work alongside experienced colleagues and senior leaders, contributing to client work and taking on more responsibilities as your confidence grows.

We are looking for candidates who are curious, resilient, and eager to learn. You should enjoy problem-solving and be ready to apply your academic knowledge in a practical environment. You do not need to have all the answers upon arrival; your enthusiasm and willingness to engage will be key to your success.

To be eligible for this placement, you must:

• Be a second-year student on a four-year undergraduate degree seeking a third-year work placement.
• Be on track for a minimum 2:2 degree in any discipline (either obtained or predicted).
• Have three A-levels or equivalent at grades A*-C (excluding General Studies and Extended Projects) or four Scottish Advanced Highers at grade A-B.
• Possess GCSEs at grade 4 and above in Maths and English, or Scottish National 5 grade A-C.
• Have the right to work in the UK.
