Responsibilities

• Engage in various client projects from the outset, focusing on data-intensive areas such as pricing, claims, and operational processes.
• Utilize data science methodologies to analyze datasets and generate meaningful insights.
• Present analytical findings to internal teams and clients effectively.
• Collaborate with team members both in the UK and internationally.
• Enhance technical skills through practical experience and support from the team.
• Execute data science initiatives that include the creation, evaluation, and implementation of machine learning models, along with producing high-quality code.
• Learn and utilize both open-source tools and WTW’s proprietary insurance technology solutions.
• Participate in structured early-career training and continuous learning opportunities from subject matter experts.

Requirements

• Possess strong numerical and analytical skills, with a keen interest in leveraging data to solve complex commercial challenges.
• Have experience with programming or data-processing languages such as Python, R, SQL, or similar.
• Show genuine interest in current trends in data science, including advancements in Machine Learning and Generative AI.
• Communicate clearly and confidently, making complex concepts accessible and engaging for diverse audiences.
• Be personable, approachable, and eager to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and innovate.
• Be comfortable using AI tools, with a basic understanding of their capabilities and limitations; familiarity with concepts like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Agentic AI is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Hold at least a 2:1 degree in a numerate field, with A-level Mathematics at grade A or above, and a minimum of 136 UCAS points from three A levels or equivalent qualifications.

This position is based in either London or Reigate, and you will be expected to work onsite at least four days a week. The application process includes an online application, a test, a video interview, and an in-person assessment center.
