The role of an Applied AI Strategist for the EMEA region involves acting as the primary strategic voice for Anthropic with its most significant clients across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This position requires engaging with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers at major enterprises to understand their challenges, influence their vision for AI integration, and align their strategies with Anthropicâ??s offerings, particularly focusing on Claude, our AI system.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and managing Executive Briefings (EBCs) to reshape how top leaders view AI, customizing narratives and proof points to resonate with different markets and cultural contexts.
- Developing strategic positioning for key clients, including crafting executive narratives, value propositions, strategic proposals, and success plans in partnership with Sales and Applied AI teams.
- Creating content to support high-level engagements, such as industry insights for core sectors like finance, insurance, telecom, manufacturing, automotive, life sciences, energy, public sector, retail, and luxury markets.
- Turning European regulatory frameworksâ??such as the EU AI Act, GDPR, DORA, AML regulations, and data sovereigntyâ??into strategic advantages by integrating them into the business case for Claude.
- Collaborating with sales and Applied AI teams to align strategies, debrief after engagements, and ensure ongoing account momentum.
- Traveling across the EMEA region to participate in executive meetings, workshops, and strategic discussions, with travel expected to exceed 50% of the roleâ??s time.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 15 yearsâ?? experience in enterprise technology or management consulting, with significant exposure to senior leadership in European markets.
- Proven ability to influence and engage C-suite executives at large organizations across Europe, with cultural adaptability across markets such as the UK, France, Germany, Nordics, Benelux, Southern Europe, and Middle East & Africa.
- Deep understanding of how large, regulated organizations evaluate, adopt, and scale new technologies, with the capacity to link AI capabilities to strategic business outcomes through clear value frameworks.
- Experience in producing high-level, reusable executive content including industry perspectives, strategic proposals, and success plans.
- Strong insights into enterprise transformation success factors, gained from leading or advising large change initiatives.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with agility and resilience.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach, especially in sales-driven contexts.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region, with more than half of the working time dedicated to travel activities.
Compensation and Benefits
- The annual salary range is between £230,000 and £270,000 GBP, inclusive of base salary and performance-based bonuses or commissions.
- Hybrid working policy requiring staff to be present in the office at least 25% of the time, with some roles possibly requiring more in-office work.
