As an Associate Regulatory Counsel specializing in Competition at Google, you will engage with complex legal issues arising from disruptive technological advancements. This role requires a proactive approach to legal guidance, working collaboratively with a talented team of in-house lawyers.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret laws and compliance obligations to establish requirements for Compliance, Business, Product, and Engineering teams.
  • Provide legal guidance on compliance programs and policies to mitigate risks.
  • Manage discussions, negotiations, and disclosures with government and regulatory bodies regarding compliance readiness efforts.

Requirements

  • A Juris Doctor (JD), LL.B., or equivalent legal degree, or relevant practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in legal, regulatory, or corporate compliance, focusing on minimizing and managing regulatory risks.
  • Experience in Competition or Antitrust law, particularly in relation to digital market regulations.
  • Proven experience engaging with regulators such as the European Commission and the UK Competition and Markets Authority.
  • Must be admitted to the bar and in good standing, or have registered in-house status in the relevant jurisdiction.
