About the Role

As a Backend Engineer in the Subscriptions domain, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that power subscription services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including mobile, web, product, design, and data to deliver seamless experiences across platforms and regions. Your ownership will span the entire feature lifecycle, from initial idea to deployment, ensuring high standards of scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

This role is embedded in an AI-first engineering environment, where you will be expected to incorporate AI agents into workflows, automate development tasks, and experiment with new AI models and tools. You will help build internal tooling that accelerates AI-assisted development and orchestrate workflows where AI handles entire task loops, from specifications to code reviews.

• Experience with writing tests, monitoring system alerts, and ensuring operational stability.
• A genuine curiosity about the future of engineering, especially in relation to agentic coding workflows and AI integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a habit of questioning how to improve development processes from first principles.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering impactful, high-quality software.
