Join Citi as a Placement Analyst in the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team based in London, starting in January 2027. This role offers an exciting opportunity to transition your academic knowledge into practical experience while working with a global leader in financial services.

The ECM team provides advisory services to corporate, private equity, and government clients on various capital-raising activities, including Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) and Rights Issues. As a Placement Analyst, you will be integral to the team, developing essential skills and knowledge to navigate the evolving economic landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop pitchbooks and execute ECM mandates for Citi clients while collaborating with M&A, Financing, and Debt Capital Markets teams as needed.
• Manage the transaction process, including compliance checks, committee approvals, and liaising with research compliance.
• Work alongside senior bankers and management to negotiate transaction terms.
• Analyze financial data and comprehend financial models, including company valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, and comparative analyses.
• Establish regular communication with Citiâ??s global sales force and understand the investor base.
• Coordinate activities across Citiâ??s global network to ensure alignment.

Candidate Requirements

• Currently in your penultimate year of university.
• Expected to achieve or have already achieved a 2:1 (or equivalent) at the undergraduate level in any degree discipline.
• Availability to start in January 2027.
• Strong desire to develop a deep understanding of the financial industry.
• Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to generating new and creative ideas.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assimilate new information quickly and relate it to client needs.
• Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently, managing your own workload under tight deadlines.
