Decagon is seeking a proactive and dynamic Business Development professional to focus on the EMEA region, with fluency in German. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding Decagon’s presence across German-speaking markets. The successful candidate will conduct market research, develop tailored proposals, and collaborate with internal teams to meet regional sales targets. Negotiating contracts and closing deals are key responsibilities, along with tracking sales activities and performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the EMEA region, focusing on German-speaking markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients to foster long-term partnerships.
- Conduct market research to understand regional trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Develop tailored proposals and presentations to effectively communicate Decagon’s offerings to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to align strategies and ensure client requirements are met.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales targets and revenue growth objectives.
- Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and regional performance metrics regularly.
Requirements
- Fluent proficiency in German, with excellent communication skills in both written and spoken forms.
- Previous experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the tech or software industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the EMEA market dynamics and regional business practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills to engage with diverse clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Comfort with conducting market research and analyzing industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
