Skyral Group is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive to focus on opportunities within the government and defence sectors. This role involves identifying, shaping, and securing significant contracts by building strong relationships with key stakeholders and understanding the complex procurement processes typical of government and defence agencies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of priority customers and opportunities, working closely with the Chief Growth Officer and other teams to convert customer needs into compelling proposals that lead to contractual agreements. This includes developing strategic account plans, leading or supporting major bids, and ensuring a disciplined approach to pipeline management and forecasting.
Key responsibilities include developing new business opportunities, positioning Skyralâ??s innovative AI and modelling solutions to address operational challenges, and representing the company at industry events and customer meetings. The role requires building and maintaining trusted relationships across operational, technical, commercial, and procurement communities within government, defence, and national security sectors.
The candidate must have a proven track record of winning complex, high-value contracts in related markets, with strong credibility among senior government and defence stakeholders. Deep knowledge of procurement practices, experience managing the full sales lifecycle, and excellent negotiation and communication skills are essential. The ability to operate independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams is also required.
