Capgemini is seeking a highly experienced Camunda Developer to join their team in Knutsford, UK. This role requires a professional with extensive expertise in workflow orchestration, full-stack development, and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Camunda, Java-based backend technologies, and React-based frontend development. The position involves designing and building scalable, high-quality applications using modern engineering practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
Role Responsibilities
- Design and develop workflows for lending origination processes using Camunda 8, focusing on process orchestration.
- Create service-task-driven integrations by developing Java-based job workers that connect various systems.
- Build and integrate user interfaces with React.js, Redux, Axios, HTML, and CSS to facilitate user task management.
- Develop and maintain backend services utilizing Java and SQL databases, ensuring they meet business needs and quality standards.
- Analyze business requirements to deliver clean, scalable, and thoroughly tested code.
- Ensure all features and user stories are delivered with full automated test coverage.
- Participate actively in Agile practices, including SCRUM ceremonies, and keep project management tools like JIRA updated.
- Provide third-line support for production environments, troubleshooting issues and ensuring system stability.
- Assist with first-line User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to verify solutions meet client expectations.
- Maintain compliance with internal metrics such as TADS and uphold high quality standards throughout development processes.
Candidate Requirements
- More than ten years of experience designing and implementing solutions with Camunda workflow engine technology.
- Strong backend development skills in Java, with experience in Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, and RESTful API development.
- Proficiency in frontend technologies including React.js, Redux, Axios, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for creating responsive user interfaces.
- Solid SQL knowledge, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server, and experience working with cloud platforms like OpenShift V4.
- Experience with version control and CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, Gradle, and NPM.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and methodologies, including TDD with tools like JUnit, Mockito, and Rest Assured.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and experience deploying microservices in enterprise settings.
- A degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification, or practical knowledge of object-oriented programming and data structures.
- Experience working within Agile teams, with banking or financial sector experience being a plus.
- Knowledge of messaging systems such as Apache Kafka or IBM MQ is advantageous.
