Cloud Operations Engineer – Night shift 10PM to 6AM Overview

Join NICE as a Cloud Operations Engineer working during night shifts from 10 PM to 6 AM. This role is vital in maintaining the security, reliability, and high performance of NICE’s cloud and data center infrastructure. You will be responsible for supporting a diverse range of systems across Windows, Linux, AWS, VMware, and physical hardware, ensuring that critical business operations run smoothly across global platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor enterprise infrastructure to maximize uptime and system efficiency.
• Administer AWS cloud resources, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and operating at optimal levels.
• Support complex infrastructure environments across cloud and physical data centers.
• Identify and troubleshoot operational incidents, analyze system metrics, and implement performance improvements.
• Manage core services such as DNS, FTP, IIS, Active Directory, and identity management solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotations, communicating critical issues effectively to stakeholders and teams.
• Support physical data center tasks including hardware installation, cabling, racking, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Manage user permissions and accounts via AWS IAM and other identity management platforms.
• Implement server updates, plan capacity, apply patches, and optimize infrastructure performance.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelorâ??s degree in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of three years supporting large-scale production infrastructure environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server administration in enterprise settings.
• Proficiency in configuring and maintaining server hardware and operating systems.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, Windows Domains, and enterprise infrastructure services.
• Experience with patching and maintaining Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Intermediate Linux administration skills and operational experience.
• Familiarity with change management processes and operational governance standards.
• Additional experience with PCI-DSS, Cyber Essentials, container platforms like AWS EKS/ECS, automation tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet, SAN/NAS storage, Okta, Cisco UCS, and scripting languages like PowerShell is advantageous.
