This 10-week summer internship program, running from June 21 to August 27, 2027, offers a unique opportunity to delve into the world of data science within the financial sector. Based in Central London, you will work from 09:00 to 17:30, gaining invaluable insights into the application of scientific techniques to predict financial market movements.

As an intern, you will engage in various responsibilities, including:

• Participating in a comprehensive summer internship program that provides insights into the role of a Data Science practitioner.
• Supporting the exploration, enrichment, and creation of new datasets that will drive future research initiatives.
• Utilizing your knowledge of data blending, statistical analysis, and machine learning to enhance the analysis, validation, and visualization of diverse data sources.
• Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team of data scientists and financial experts to develop solutions for significant data challenges.
• Contributing to the companyâ??s data strategy by addressing important data issues and implementing innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate, master’s, or PhD student in a quantitative discipline.
• Strong critical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Experience in applying statistical concepts to real-world datasets.
• Proficiency in Python, particularly for exploratory data analysis and visualization.
• Excellent communication skills and a keen interest in financial markets.
• Ability to work independently on research projects and a willingness to learn.
• Experience with GitHub or Kaggle, and familiarity with machine learning model development would be advantageous.
• Knowledge or interest in natural language processing and proficiency in statistical data analysis are also beneficial.
