Developer Content Engineer Overview

Join Arm as a Developer Content Engineer within our Developer and Platform Enablement team, where your role will focus on creating practical, accurate, and engaging educational resources for software developers working with Arm technologies. This position involves working across various computing domains, collaborating with engineers and subject matter experts to transform complex technical topics into clear, accessible learning materials such as Learning Paths, developer courses, code examples, and other resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain precise technical content tailored for developers, including tutorials, courses, code snippets, and educational materials.
• Work across multiple computing fields, acquiring domain-specific knowledge for each project and collaborating with experts to ensure accuracy and clarity.
• Partner with engineers and contributors across Arm to build effective working relationships, gather technical insights, and incorporate feedback into content creation.
• Use developer workflows and tools such as Git, GitHub, and Markdown, along with AI-assisted tools, to research, develop, and maintain content efficiently.
• Leverage developer feedback and community interactions to shape new educational resources and improve existing ones.
• Represent Armâ??s developer education initiatives at industry events, conferences, and community gatherings to promote engagement and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills and Experience

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in software development.
• Hands-on experience in software or application development, with confidence working with code and developer tools.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, C/C++, or JavaScript.
• Comfort working with developer environments, including Linux, command-line tools, and version control systems like Git.
• The ability to quickly develop technical understanding in unfamiliar domains, recognizing when to investigate independently or seek expert input.
• Experience explaining complex technical concepts clearly and accurately through tutorials, documentation, blogs, or personal projects.
• Strong written communication skills, interpersonal abilities, curiosity, and a collaborative approach.

Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience

• Experience creating tutorials, technical documentation, learning materials, or code examples.
• Familiarity with docs-as-code workflows, open-source communities, developer education, or AI-assisted content creation.
• Interest in discovering how things work and helping others understand technical topics.
