Capgemini is seeking an experienced Director to join our Energy Transition & Utilities team, focusing on AI transformation initiatives. This role involves leading major consulting and transformation projects across the energy sector, including energy networks, water, retail, and nuclear industries. The successful candidate will drive business development efforts, shape strategic proposals, and oversee the delivery of large-scale AI-enabled programs. They will act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, helping define AI strategies, operating models, and governance frameworks, while establishing AI Centers of Excellence and scaled adoption approaches.
In addition to client-facing responsibilities, the Director will contribute internally by developing capabilities in AI consulting, business transformation, and Future Utility propositions. This includes creating reusable assets, accelerators, and intellectual property, as well as supporting practice operations such as recruitment and campaign development. The role also emphasizes thought leadership, with responsibilities for industry insights, whitepapers, and representing Capgemini at conferences and industry forums to strengthen the company’s reputation as a leader in AI-enabled transformation within the energy sector.
Candidates should possess significant experience within consulting or the energy industry, with a proven record of delivering large transformation projects and building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. Deep understanding of AI adoption, digital transformation, and emerging technologies like generative AI, IoT, and digital twins is essential. Leadership skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and a passion for innovation are highly valued.
