This position is central to supporting the energy industryâ??s shift towards clean energy, which is vital for economic growth, societal benefit, and achieving net-zero emissions. The role involves shaping and executing strategic initiatives, managing large transformation projects, and building strong relationships with senior clients and stakeholders.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading major advisory, consulting, and transformation services across sectors such as Energy Networks, Retail, Central Markets, Water, and Nuclear. The focus is on strengthening Capgeminiâ??s position in Asset & Capital Performance by guiding complex projects, defining strategic visions, and ensuring successful delivery. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, manage risks, and act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, helping them develop future business models that integrate strategy, investment, engineering, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve asset and capital performance in the energy sector.
  • Lead complex transformation initiatives and large-scale capital programs, setting vision, scope, and strategic goals.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with senior clients and C-suite executives, ensuring alignment with their strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the delivery of consulting services across strategy, engineering, digital, data, and operational domains, ensuring high standards and client satisfaction.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams of consultants and practitioners, fostering collaboration and cohesion across projects.
  • Manage project delivery, including risk mitigation related to commercial, reputational, and operational factors.
  • Partner with stakeholders and external partners to develop asset management and investment strategies, translating these into actionable programs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients define future operating models that connect strategy, investment, and asset performance.
  • Mentor and develop senior team members and future leaders, supporting their career growth.
  • Drive business development efforts by originating new opportunities, leading proposals, and expanding the client pipeline.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through whitepapers, market insights, and practice development activities.
  • Support the growth of Capgeminiâ??s Asset & Capital offerings by developing new propositions and intellectual property.

Candidate Profile

  • Significant experience in leading asset and capital transformation projects, gained through consulting or senior industry roles.
  • Proven ability to manage large infrastructure projects and capital programs, with a focus on strategic asset management and performance improvement.
  • Strong consulting background with trusted relationships at senior levels, ideally within a major consulting firm or equivalent industry position.
  • Deep understanding of asset lifecycle management, operational asset management, and capital investment processes.
  • Experience applying digital technologies, data analytics, and AI to improve asset decision-making and performance.
  • Ability to develop compelling propositions, build market presence, and lead diverse teams of professionals.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across organizations.
  • Experience working within matrix organizations, orchestrating cross-practice teams, and delivering complex solutions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on demand creation and opportunity development.
