Capgemini is seeking an experienced Director to lead their Asset & Capital Performance practice within the Energy Transition & Utilities sector. This role is pivotal in shaping and delivering major transformation projects and large-scale capital investment programs across sectors such as energy networks, retail, markets, water, and nuclear. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting strategic direction, managing senior client relationships, and overseeing the delivery of consulting services that integrate strategy, engineering, digital, data, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve asset and capital performance in the context of energy transition and utilities.
- Lead complex transformation projects, defining project scope, vision, and strategic goals.
- Maintain and grow relationships with senior clients and C-suite executives, ensuring alignment with their strategic objectives.
- Manage the delivery of consulting services, ensuring high standards of quality, governance, and client satisfaction.
- Build and lead diverse teams of consultants and senior practitioners, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Oversee project delivery, financial health, and risk management at both engagement and portfolio levels.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop asset management strategies, investment portfolios, and business cases, translating these into actionable programs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, helping shape future business models that connect strategy, investment, and operational performance through integrated people, process, technology, and data solutions.
- Mentor and develop team members and future leaders, supporting their career progression.
- Participate in business development activities, including originating opportunities, leading proposals, and expanding the client base.
- Contribute to thought leadership through whitepapers, market insights, and practice development activities.
- Support internal capability building, practice growth, and service innovation.
Candidate Profile
- Significant experience in leading asset and capital transformation projects, ideally in consulting or senior industry roles within asset-heavy sectors.
- Proven ability to develop trusted advisor relationships with senior executives and deliver performance improvement solutions.
- Strong experience working within matrix organizations, managing cross-practice teams, and delivering complex solutions.
- Deep understanding of asset lifecycle management, operational asset management, and capital investment strategies, with a focus on applying digital and AI technologies to improve decision-making and asset performance.
- Experience in developing market propositions, intellectual property, and building a strong professional reputation.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at the highest levels.
