Capgemini is seeking an experienced Director to lead Asset & Capital Performance within their Energy Transition & Utilities practice. This role is central to helping energy and utility organizations harness the economic and societal potential of the energy transition, supporting their journey towards net-zero and sustainable growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and delivering major advisory, consulting, and transformation projects across sectors including Energy Networks, Retail, Central Markets, Water, and Nuclear.
Role Overview
As a key member of the leadership team, you will define strategic direction, grow the business, and manage relationships with senior clients and stakeholders. Your expertise in asset and capital management will be crucial in leading complex transformation initiatives, ensuring projects meet time, cost, quality, and safety standards while maximizing operational performance. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, foster collaboration, and ensure high-quality delivery across all engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to improve asset and capital performance in the context of energy transition projects.
- Lead large transformation programs, including defining vision, scope, and strategic goals, while managing client relationships at the executive level.
- Ensure robust governance, project controls, and quality standards are maintained to deliver successful outcomes.
- Build and lead diverse teams of consultants and practitioners, creating a cohesive environment that drives results.
- Manage risks related to project delivery, reputation, and commercial performance at multiple levels.
- Collaborate with clients and partners to develop asset management strategies, investment portfolios, and business cases, translating these into actionable programs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, helping shape future business models that integrate strategy, engineering, and asset management.
- Mentor and develop future leaders, providing guidance and support for career progression.
- Contribute to business development by originating new opportunities, leading proposals, and expanding the client pipeline.
- Engage in thought leadership activities, including creating whitepapers and market insights to strengthen Capgeminiâ??s market position.
- Support internal practice growth through training, capability building, and developing intellectual property related to asset management.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in leading asset and capital transformation projects, gained either in consulting or within asset-intensive industries. They should demonstrate strong consulting skills, including building trusted relationships with senior executives, and have a proven track record of delivering complex projects. Deep knowledge of asset lifecycle management, digital transformation, and AI applications is essential. Leadership qualities, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills are also required.
