Capgemini is seeking an experienced Director to lead and grow its private sector business within the Energy Transition & Utilities (ET&U) market, among others. This role involves shaping major consulting and transformation projects, developing strategic client relationships, and leading complex, multidisciplinary initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, build a strong pipeline of opportunities, and contribute to the strategic direction of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture strategic relationships with C-suite stakeholders, understanding their business, market, and technological priorities.
  • Identify, shape, and convert large consulting opportunities, contributing to sales and revenue targets.
  • Lead proposal development, client presentations, and negotiations, integrating capabilities from across Capgemini Invent and the wider Group.
  • Create integrated solutions combining industry insights, data, AI, technology, and engineering to achieve tangible results.
  • Expand existing client accounts and identify new opportunities for cross-service growth.
  • Oversee complex engagements, ensuring delivery excellence, client value, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop thought leadership and innovative propositions aligned with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Represent Capgemini Invent at industry events, strategic partnerships, and external market activities.
  • Build and lead diverse teams through recruitment, coaching, and development initiatives.
  • Support the broader practice leadership by defining strategic priorities and exemplifying company values.

Candidate Profile

  • Significant leadership experience within a top consulting firm or senior industry role with consulting expertise.
  • Deep industry knowledge and credibility in at least one private sector market, with a strong understanding of its operational, regulatory, and technological landscape.
  • Proven success in originating, shaping, and closing large-scale consulting and transformation deals.
  • Strong network and experience in building and maintaining relationships with senior executives, with the ability to develop new contacts.
  • Experience leading complex transformation programs from strategy to implementation and value realization.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, including deal structuring, business case development, and risk management.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a matrix organization, solving complex problems and securing stakeholder commitment.
  • Leadership in developing propositions, capabilities, and high-performing, inclusive teams.
  • Subject matter expertise in areas such as corporate strategy, customer transformation, operating models, enterprise transformation, data and AI, cloud, and innovation.
