Capgemini Invent is seeking an experienced Director to join their Energy Transition & Utilities team, focusing on AI transformation within the sector. This role involves leading strategic initiatives, delivering large-scale AI-enabled transformation programs, and shaping the future of energy organizations through innovative digital solutions.
Role Overview
As part of the growing demand in the Energy Transition & Utilities practice, you will be responsible for driving growth, managing key client relationships, and leading major consulting and transformation projects. Clients include organizations across energy networks, water, retail, and asset management sectors. The focus is on helping clients move beyond experimentation with AI to establishing it as a core organizational capability, supported by Capgemini’s strong market position, sector expertise, and technology partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and contributing to business development efforts, including proposals, pursuits, and client engagement strategies centered on AI and digital transformation.
- Shaping consulting engagements by leveraging existing relationships and creating new ones, while developing market-leading propositions and thought leadership.
- Building strategic alliances with technology partners and ecosystem providers to enhance service offerings.
- Managing the delivery of large AI-driven transformation initiatives, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across business, technology, and operational functions.
- Defining AI strategies, operational models, governance frameworks, and roadmaps to facilitate digital transformation.
- Establishing AI Centers of Excellence and scaled adoption approaches within client organizations.
- Supporting clients through the design and deployment of AI-enabled digital solutions and transformation programs.
- Internally, contributing to the development of AI consulting capabilities, creating reusable assets, and supporting practice operations such as recruitment and proposition development.
- Mentoring and coaching future leaders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Developing industry insights, whitepapers, and participating in conferences to position Capgemini as a thought leader in AI for the energy sector.
Candidate Profile
- Significant experience in consulting or energy/utilities industries, with deep sector expertise.
- Proven success in delivering large-scale transformation projects involving AI, digital, and operational modernization.
- Strong relationship management skills with senior clients and leadership teams.
- Experience in developing market propositions and innovative service offerings.
- Leadership experience in managing high-performing teams and driving growth initiatives.
- Deep understanding of AI opportunities, risks, and governance in regulated environments.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and transformation.
- Expertise in AI strategy, governance, operating models, and emerging technologies such as generative AI, automation, digital twins, IoT, and analytics.
