Capgemini Invent is seeking an experienced leader to fill the role of Director in Enterprise Data & Analytics within the Energy & Utilities sector. This position is based in London, with potential for hybrid working arrangements that combine office, client site, and home-based work, tailored to individual and business needs. The role involves partnering with leading organizations in sectors such as electricity, gas, water, nuclear, and energy retail, to harness the power of data and artificial intelligence (AI) to drive transformation.

About the Role

As a Director, you will be at the forefront of growing Capgemini’s Enterprise Data & Analytics practice in the Energy & Utilities industry. Your responsibilities include originating and securing consulting opportunities worth over £2 million annually, building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, and acting as a strategic advisor on data and AI transformation projects. You will lead complex initiatives from strategy development through to implementation, helping clients realize tangible business benefits through data-driven solutions.

You will also contribute to the development of new propositions that respond to the evolving needs of clients, strengthen Capgeminiâ??s market presence through thought leadership, and identify emerging trends in data and AI to create new market opportunities. Collaboration across Capgemini Invent and the wider Capgemini Group will be essential, bringing together multidisciplinary teams to address complex challenges. Mentoring and developing consultants will be a key part of your leadership, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development within the Energy & Utilities sector by cultivating strategic accounts and pursuing significant projects.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, positioning yourself as a key advisor on enterprise data and AI initiatives.
  • Lead end-to-end transformation programs, from initial strategy to full deployment, ensuring the delivery of measurable value.
  • Support clients in modernizing their data infrastructure, leveraging AI and analytics to improve operational outcomes.
  • Innovate by creating new service offerings aligned with industry trends and client needs, establishing thought leadership in the field.
  • Identify and translate emerging trends in data and AI into new business opportunities and client solutions.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across Capgemini to deliver complex solutions to clientsâ?? challenges.
  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and high performance.

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive leadership experience in enterprise data and analytics, with a background in consulting or a blend of industry and consulting roles.
  • Proven track record of helping organizations utilize data and AI to solve complex problems, with a focus on building long-term client relationships and expanding consulting opportunities.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise data strategies, modern data platforms, data governance, and advanced analytics including Generative AI.
  • Experience working within the Energy & Utilities sector or similar asset-intensive industries, understanding their specific data challenges.
  • Strong ability to develop strategic propositions, lead multidisciplinary teams, and manage complex projects from inception to delivery.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders, capable of influencing at the executive level.
  • Leadership style that emphasizes collaboration, talent development, and fostering a high-performance environment.
