Liberty Global is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Global Tax to join their team in London, UK. This key leadership role involves shaping and executing the company’s international tax strategy, covering both corporate and indirect tax matters. The successful candidate will report directly to the Vice President of Global Tax and will be responsible for providing expert guidance on complex tax issues that impact the company’s global operations.
The role requires overseeing the company’s tax governance framework, ensuring full compliance with all reporting obligations, including the review and approval of tax filings, provisions, and returns. You will lead the tax workstream for significant cross-border transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and joint ventures, offering strategic advice and technical expertise to facilitate smooth execution and compliance.
Designing tax-efficient organizational structures and funding arrangements that support strategic investments and business objectives will be a core part of your responsibilities. You will also manage transfer pricing strategies, including documentation, audits, and dispute resolution activities across the company’s international entities.
Building and nurturing a high-performing tax team is essential, as is developing external advisory relationships to ensure best practices are followed. Your expertise will support the implementation of Pillar Two regulations, including governance, reporting, and compliance activities.
This position involves close collaboration with senior leaders across Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Corporate Development to align tax strategies with overall business goals. You will be expected to translate complex technical issues into clear, actionable recommendations, demonstrating strong commercial judgment and leadership skills.
