Contentsquare is seeking a highly skilled and strategic leader to serve as the Director of the Product Data Analyst Team. This role involves managing and developing a team of four analysts dedicated to analyzing and optimizing the company’s core sales-focused product. The director will work closely with multiple Vice Presidents and Senior Vice Presidents of Product to harness data insights that inform strategic decisions and enhance product performance. The role is a vital part of the Product Insights department, which combines quantitative and qualitative customer insights to shape the product roadmap and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of four product data analysts, with a focus on strategic alignment and high-impact analysis.
• Collaborate with senior product leadership to leverage data for decision-making and product improvements.
• Ensure insights from data influence the product development process, integrating customer journey insights.
• Align team efforts with overall company objectives by understanding the strategic vision of various product groups and advising on analysis priorities.
• Manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, including technical teams like data engineering and business units such as sales and customer success, ensuring timely and actionable insights.
• Develop talent within the team through setting clear objectives, providing feedback, and focusing on impactful work.
• Lead by example in adopting AI and advanced analytical techniques to improve team capabilities.
• Identify gaps in data empowerment across product lines and guide teams in adopting advanced methodologies and tools.
• Provide training and support to foster a data-driven culture within product teams.
• Partner with product research leaders and collaborate with product directors and VPs to promote insights-driven decision-making.
• Spearhead cross-department initiatives, negotiate stakeholder buy-in, and ensure projects deliver measurable results within set timelines.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong proficiency in statistical analysis, data modeling, and visualization tools such as SQL, DBT, Excel, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Ability to interpret complex datasets, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting insights to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and designers.
• Proven management experience, ideally overseeing data or product analysts, with a focus on strategic alignment.
• Understanding of business strategy and how data insights support product and commercial objectives.
• Prior experience as a data analyst with a relevant degree in business, engineering, or related fields.
• Additional skills such as familiarity with SaaS metrics, machine learning concepts, and hands-on experience with predictive models are advantageous.
• Experience with Contentsquare or similar platforms is a plus.
