Capgemini is seeking an experienced Director to lead its National Security sector initiatives within the Secure Government division. This role is based in London, Manchester, or Cheltenham, offering flexibility in working arrangements, including potential travel and periods away from home. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex programs, fostering client relationships, and driving business growth in the UKâ??s National Security market. As a senior leader, you will contribute to strategic planning, team development, and thought leadership, helping position Capgemini as a trusted partner for government security agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver large-scale, complex programs for clients in the National Security sector, ensuring objectives are met effectively.
- Develop and expand the business by leveraging existing relationships and personal networks to generate approximately £2 million in annual consulting revenues.
- Support the strategic growth of Capgeminiâ??s impact in the UKâ??s National Security market through client engagement and market development.
- Assist clients in realizing their transformation ambitions by providing expert insights and ensuring high standards of project delivery.
- Stay informed on current trends and issues affecting the public sector, especially within National Security, to serve as a trusted subject matter expert.
- Build and maintain trust-based relationships with clients using a sell-deliver-sell approach, ensuring ongoing engagement and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including design, data, strategy, solutions architecture, and AI to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Support strategic decision-making by analyzing data related to service costs and benefits, communicating insights effectively.
- Create thought leadership content, including whitepapers and propositions, to enhance Capgeminiâ??s market positioning.
- Participate in internal initiatives such as campaign development, practice growth, and team development activities.
- Engage in continuous professional development through training, certifications, and industry involvement.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Contribute to CSR initiatives, particularly those focused on social impact and environmental sustainability.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive consulting experience, preferably within major firms or relevant sectors, with a focus on public sector transformation.
- Proven success in business development, generating around £2 million annually through networks and client relationships.
- Deep knowledge of the National Security sector, including familiarity with government security protocols and agencies.
- Experience in leading large, complex programs and transformation projects within the public sector.
- Strong commercial skills, including legal, data protection, and risk management expertise.
- Ability to develop and deliver compelling propositions and business cases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Leadership qualities, including team building, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
- Experience working within a matrixed organization, with the ability to mobilize support from peers and stakeholders.
- Passion for public service and societal impact.
- Security clearance at DV level or the ability to obtain it.
- Flexible and adaptable, willing to travel and work at different locations as required.
