Requirements

What we're looking for

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Interest in embedded software development and real-world product engineering.
• Evidence of personal projects, open-source contributions, hackathons, or other extracurricular technical activities.
• Passion for technology, a willingness to learn, and the confidence to share ideas and take initiative in a collaborative team environment.

Nice to have

• Exposure to C++ is a plus; experience with Java, C#, or other object-oriented programming languages is also welcome.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts; knowledge of embedded systems, UML, or IoT technologies would be advantageous.

The role

As an Intern Bachelors Embedded Eng here at Honeywell, you will gain hands-on experience in designing and developing embedded software solutions, working on real projects, and enhancing your technical skills.You will report directly to our [Title] and you’ll work out of our Horsham, West Sussex, United Kingdom location on a On-site work schedule.

What you'll do

• Develop and enhance embedded software features for Honeywell’s Building Energy Management System controllers.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and test engineers within an Agile Scrum environment.
• Contribute to software design and implementation using object-oriented programming principles.
• Support the development of communication protocols, IoT connectivity solutions, and control algorithms.
• Participate in testing, debugging, code reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
• Share ideas, take initiative, and contribute to technical discussions across the team.
