Google is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as the EMEA Marketing Measurement Lead, based in London. This role involves overseeing the measurement team responsible for evaluating and optimizing Google’s marketing investments across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). As a key partner to regional marketing leadership, finance, and product teams, you will develop and implement advanced measurement models, establish key metrics, and build statistical frameworks to assess marketing effectiveness, incrementality, and overall business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and drive the measurement roadmap to address complex data questions for EMEA marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
- Define data requirements, analytical frameworks, and regional strategies to scale and improve media measurement efforts.
- Set ambitious measurement goals and lead initiatives to achieve them, leveraging AI technologies to enhance productivity and innovation while adhering to Google’s AI Principles.
- Analyze large, high-dimensional datasets to extract actionable insights that influence marketing strategies.
- Review and validate statistical analyses and methodologies to ensure robustness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Media Centers of Excellence, Finance, and Product divisions, to guide marketing budget allocation and resolve complex analytical questions.
- Manage and mentor a team of talented Business Data Scientists and Analysts, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Encourage collaboration and solution sharing across Google’s broader marketing analytics community to maximize efficiency and consistency.
Qualifications
- MasterĂ¢??s degree in Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, or an equivalent field, with extensive practical experience in data analysis.
- At least nine years of experience applying analytics to solve business or product challenges, with proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and database querying.
- Minimum of three years in a leadership role managing technical and analytical teams, including mentoring and development responsibilities.
- Experience in coding for data manipulation and analysis, with the ability to review and maintain analytical code.
- Strong communication skills to present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Preferred candidates will hold a PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, or Data Science.
- Experience with advanced marketing measurement techniques like conversion lift, geo-experiments, Media Mix Modeling, and brand lift studies, especially for regional or global brands.
- Proficiency in managing large datasets and applying statistical methods such as causal inference, predictive modeling, and survey methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills, with the ability to translate data insights into strategic business actions.
About the Role
As the EMEA Marketing Measurement Lead, your primary responsibility will be to lead measurement initiatives that evaluate and optimize Google’s marketing efforts across the EMEA region.
