The team ensures the delivery of accurate, reliable, and insightful financial information, while continuously seeking ways to improve reporting, analysis, and data utilization. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting fundamentals, be naturally analytical, and enjoy identifying opportunities for process enhancements. The role emphasizes leveraging data, automation, and process improvements to make reporting more efficient, reduce manual effort, and enhance the quality of financial insights provided to the business. • Analyze financial performance across various statements, identifying trends, investigating variances, and highlighting potential risks or opportunities.
  • Develop, enhance, and automate reporting workflows using Excel and other data tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Use financial data and insights to challenge existing processes, seeking simplification, standardization, and overall improvement of finance operations.
  • Partner with Finance Operations, FP&A, and other teams to ensure the consistency and usefulness of financial information.
  • Support audit, governance, and control activities throughout the reporting cycle.
  • Contribute to wider finance projects aimed at continuous improvement and scaling following Legend’s recent acquisition.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with credentials such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in financial reporting, management accounting, or similar roles within a corporate environment, with the ability to independently manage parts of the reporting process.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting fundamentals and experience working with the balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow statements.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data, investigate issues, and generate actionable insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills, comfortable working with large datasets and complex financial models.
  • Experience in process improvement, automation, or implementing more efficient reporting workflows; familiarity with Power Query, Alteryx, or similar tools is highly advantageous.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy, controls, and high-quality financial output.
  • Proactive, curious, and confident in challenging processes and owning problems until resolution.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, multinational, or listed companies, or exposure to post-acquisition integration, is beneficial but not essential.

Application and Selection Process

The interview process includes an initial 30-minute Zoom interview with a Talent Partner, followed by a one-hour interview with the Senior Financial Reporting Manager and a People Partner. The final interview involves the Head of Financial Reporting and the Financial Controller, conducted via Zoom and lasting one hour.
