We are currently seeking a Financial Operations Lead to join our dynamic team in London. This role is pivotal as we continue to experience rapid growth, adding significant annual recurring revenue and expanding our workforce.

Role Overview

The Financial Operations Lead will be our first dedicated finance hire, directly collaborating with the founders to establish and manage the financial operations of the company. This position is not about high-level strategy or bookkeeping; it requires a hands-on generalist who is deeply knowledgeable in accounting and is willing to engage in detailed financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee supplier payments, ensuring timely approvals and preventing duplicate payments.
• Manage customer invoicing for over 1,000 law firm and enterprise clients, collaborating with RevOps to expedite overdue collections.
• Coordinate with external accountants to ensure accurate monthly financial closes.
• Define and report financial metrics, working closely with the CEO to communicate these to the board and investors.
• Design and implement finance processes and tools from the ground up, focusing on automation and scalability.
• Develop the company’s first budgeting and approval processes in collaboration with the founders.
• Create financial models for significant business decisions, including office leases and hiring plans.
• Handle international finance operations, including budgeting for new office setups and managing transfer pricing.
• Ensure effective management of the raised capital, maintaining payroll and vendor payments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or finance-related operations within high-growth tech companies.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, capable of managing external accountants for timely financial closes.
• Proven experience in establishing finance processes and automation that can scale with company growth.
• Excellent skills in financial modeling, including budgets, forecasts, and cash flow management.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
