Capgemini is seeking a highly skilled Forward Deployed Engineer to join their team, a role ideally suited for professionals who combine technical expertise, knowledge of AI, business consulting skills, and experience within the Financial Services sector. This position involves working directly with client teams to identify opportunities, design solutions, and develop AI-powered products, ensuring successful adoption and value realization. The role requires managing end-to-end engagements, from initial discovery and solution design to deployment and operational support.

Work Environment and Responsibilities

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, meaning your daily work location will vary based on role requirements, personal needs, and client demands. Your work environment may include company offices, client sites, and your home, but it is not possible to work entirely from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Discovery & Solution Design: Facilitate workshops to understand client challenges, define success metrics, and translate business goals into AI solutions. Make architecture, workflow, platform, and technology decisions.
• Delivery & Engineering: Own the solution architecture, contribute to hands-on development of critical components, and create prototypes, proofs of value, and production solutions using AI, Generative AI, automation, and analytics. Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and reliability standards. Define requirements and standards for deployment.
• Adoption & Value Realization: Promote user adoption, engage stakeholders, manage change, and track business benefits after deployment. Ensure solutions are well-documented, scalable, and operationally sustainable.
• Leadership & Growth: Lead project delivery teams, mentor junior staff, contribute to reusable assets and best practices, and support pre-sales activities such as client workshops, demonstrations, and business case development.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in consulting, software engineering, solution architecture, product management, or business transformation.
• Proven experience managing client projects from discovery to deployment.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and workshop facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of the Financial Services industry, including banking and insurance sectors.
• Hands-on experience with AI, Generative AI, automation, analytics, and agentic AI solutions.
• Understanding of AI concepts such as RAG, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, tool calling, evaluation methods, guardrails, and Responsible AI principles.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple workstreams effectively.

Preferred Skills

• Experience deploying AI/GenAI solutions in production environments.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, APIs, DevOps, containers, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with business architecture, process transformation, operating model design, and capability mapping.
• Familiarity with regulated environments, model risk management, data governance, and compliance standards.
• Experience supporting pre-sales activities, solution shaping, and business development.
