As a Forward Deployed Engineer IV specializing in Generative AI at Google Cloud, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between innovative AI products and their practical implementation in customer environments. This position is tailored for high-agency engineers who possess a founder’s mindset, enabling you to tackle integration challenges and data readiness issues that hinder AI from achieving enterprise-grade maturity.

Your responsibilities will include serving as a developer for AI applications, transitioning rapid prototypes into production-grade workflows that drive measurable return on investment. You will architect and code the integration between Googleâ??s AI products and the customer’s infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity with APIs and legacy data systems. Additionally, you will build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to meet rigorous standards for accuracy, safety, and latency.

In this role, you will also identify repeatable patterns and friction points within Googleâ??s AI stack, transforming these insights into reusable modules or formal product feature requests for the engineering teams. Collaborating closely with customer engineering teams, you will instill Google-grade development best practices to ensure the long-term success of projects and high end-user adoption.

To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelorâ??s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, along with at least 8 years of experience in cloud computing or a technical customer-facing role. You must demonstrate experience in taking AI-driven solutions from conception to launch and architecting AI systems on platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Additionally, experience in building data pipelines for structured and unstructured data using vector databases and RAG-like architectures is essential.

Preferred qualifications include a Masterâ??s or PhD in AI, Computer Science, or a related technical field, as well as experience implementing multi-agent systems and knowledge of LLM-native metrics and optimization techniques.
