An established and reputable technology consultancy is seeking to expand its digital hardware team by hiring an FPGA Engineer. This role involves working on a diverse array of challenging projects across sectors such as wireless communications, aerospace, and next-generation network systems. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary environment where projects range from initial concept design to fully integrated hardware systems.
As an FPGA Engineer, your responsibilities will include contributing to system architecture development, designing and verifying RTL code in Verilog or SystemVerilog, and delivering high-performance FPGA solutions. You will work closely with software, RF, DSP, and systems engineers, gaining exposure to complex engineering problems and influencing the technical direction of various projects. Your role will also involve supporting hardware integration, optimizing FPGA designs for timing closure using tools like Vivado or Quartus, and participating in system-level design activities focused on high-speed electronics.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in designing and verifying FPGA or ASIC hardware, with strong RTL coding skills in Verilog or SystemVerilog.
- Familiarity with FPGA development environments such as Vivado or Quartus, including experience in achieving timing closure.
- A solid understanding of system-level digital design principles and high-speed electronic circuits.
- An academic background in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Experience with DSP or RF systems, or mentoring experience, would be considered advantageous.
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
