About the Role

As a Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer at Kpler, your primary responsibility will be to build and scale the core systems and internal tools that underpin their product ecosystem. You will work across the entire software stack, developing robust PHP backend services, including systems for billing and subscription management driven by Stripe. Additionally, you will craft responsive and accessible user interfaces using React and TypeScript. Your work will directly impact operational workflows and improve the experience for users around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance backend services in PHP, ensuring clear domain boundaries, especially for billing and application management systems.
  • Create engaging, responsive frontend interfaces with React, TypeScript, and Node.js, focusing on usability and accessibility.
  • Maintain system reliability by writing comprehensive end-to-end automated tests, and implementing logging, retries, and recovery mechanisms to handle failures effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Finance, CRM, Revenue Operations, and Support teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for system and process improvements by modernizing legacy code and exploring new engineering tools and frameworks.
  • Manage system health through troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving issues in production environments, including database schema management and CI/CD workflows.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on backend PHP development and large-scale production systems.
  • Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and experience designing and working with REST APIs and system integrations.
  • Practical experience with modern frontend technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Knowledge of modern development practices including Git, code reviews, automated testing, and familiarity with DevOps tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Educational background with a BachelorĂ¢??s or MasterĂ¢??s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
