The Graduate Airframe Engineering program encompasses four key disciplines: Aerodynamics, Design, Materials, and Structures. Each discipline plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity and performance of our aircraft.

Core Responsibilities

• Aerodynamics: Utilize various methods, including wind tunnel testing and computational techniques, to analyze and optimize aircraft designs, ensuring their safe operation across all flight conditions.
• Design Engineering: Liaise with stakeholders, manage product bill of materials, and create CAD definitions for products that are optimized for manufacturability.
• Materials Engineering: Analyze, qualify, and test materials, investigate their properties and failures, and develop new materials suitable for airborne platforms.
• Structures Engineering: Conduct structural analysis calculations to validate the strength, stiffness, and longevity of BAE Systems platforms.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, at least a 2:2 Bachelorâ??s degree or a pass at Masterâ??s level in relevant fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or Mathematics.

All applicants must meet the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, and many roles require higher levels of National Security Vetting, necessitating 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK for security checks.
