Role Overview

The Graduate Airframe Engineering position encompasses four key disciplines: Aerodynamics, Design, Materials, and Structures. Each discipline plays a crucial role in delivering products that meet customer requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities

• Aerodynamics: Utilize various methods, including wind tunnel testing and computational techniques, to analyze and optimize aircraft designs, ensuring safe operations across the flight envelope.
• Design Engineering: Liaise with stakeholders, manage product bill of materials, and create CAD definitions for optimized and manufacturable products.
• Materials Engineering: Analyze, qualify, and test materials, investigate material properties and failures, and develop new materials for airborne platforms.
• Structures Engineering: Conduct structural analysis calculations to validate the strength, stiffness, and structural life of BAE Systems platforms.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must have obtained or be predicted to obtain a minimum of a 2:2 Bachelorâ??s degree or a pass at Masterâ??s level in relevant subjects such as Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
