Role Overview

The Graduate Airframe Engineering position encompasses four key disciplines: Aerodynamics, Design, Materials, and Structures. Each discipline plays a vital role in ensuring that BAE Systems delivers high-quality products that meet customer requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities

• Aerodynamics: Utilize various methods, including wind tunnel testing and computational techniques, to analyze and optimize aircraft designs for safe operation.
• Design Engineering: Manage stakeholder communications, oversee product bill of materials, and create CAD definitions for manufacturable products.
• Materials Engineering: Conduct material analysis, qualification, and testing, while investigating properties and failures to develop new materials for airborne applications.
• Structures Engineering: Perform structural analysis calculations to ensure the strength, stiffness, and longevity of BAE Systems platforms.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you must have achieved or be on track to achieve a minimum of a 2:2 Bachelorâ??s degree or a pass at Masterâ??s level in relevant fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or Mathematics.

All applicants must meet the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, and many roles may require higher levels of National Security Vetting, necessitating a minimum of 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK.
