As a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer at BAE Systems, you will play a crucial role in connecting design and production, ensuring that products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position is based in Warton/Samlesbury, Lancashire, and is part of a dynamic team focused on the development and support of advanced aircraft technologies.

Core Responsibilities

• Assist in the manufacturing and assembly of aircraft by developing and enhancing production processes, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace regulations, airworthiness, safety, and quality standards in all activities.
• Investigate manufacturing challenges, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures.
• Collaborate with design, production, quality, and supply chain teams to create manufacturable solutions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles to boost safety, quality, cost efficiency, and delivery performance.
• Support the development and validation of tooling, equipment, and production methods, while analyzing performance data and identifying improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have achieved, or be predicted to achieve, at least a 2:2 Bachelorâ??s degree or a pass at Masterâ??s level in relevant fields such as Manufacturing Systems, Technology Engineering Management, Manufacturing Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
