Graduate Molecular Modeller Overview

As a Graduate Molecular Modeller at BAE Systems, you will engage in the development of Quantum Mechanical and Molecular Dynamics models aimed at enhancing the understanding of both existing and innovative energetic materials. This role is integral to supporting the SMART Qualification initiative and will involve collaboration with various stakeholders within the Engineering Analysis Team.

Core Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and implement modeling software and tools for chemical modeling of both new and existing energetic materials.
• Develop models that enhance understanding and prediction of the behaviors of energetic materials.
• Assist project engineers and other stakeholders in executing UKMOD projects.
• Support the development and expansion of the SMART Qualification initiative.
• Address ad-hoc requirements as they arise.

About the Land Team

The Land Team is responsible for equipping the British Armed Forces and international customers with a variety of munitions products, ranging from small arms ammunition to heavy artillery, including projects like the Challenger 3 Battle Tank.

Security and Vetting Requirements
