Graduate Procurement Overview

As a Graduate Procurement Associate at BAE Systems, you will play a vital role in shaping procurement strategies across various business units. This position is based in Preston and involves a hybrid working model, requiring attendance on-site 3-4 days a week.

Your primary responsibilities will include engaging with stakeholders to develop global procurement strategies, supporting contract negotiations, and managing supplier relationships to ensure effective partnerships. You will also handle operational procurement tasks such as requisition and invoice approvals, gaining valuable exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle.

Core Duties

• Support the category teams in developing and implementing category strategies aligned with business needs.
• Assist in delivering robust sourcing exercises in line with category strategies and company processes.
• Implement supplier management strategies within the category.
• Embed responsible supply chain principles and sustainability practices into procurement activities.
• Maintain high standards for safety, health, and environmental practices.

To qualify for this role, you must have obtained or be predicted to obtain at least a 2:2 Bachelorâ??s degree or a pass at Masterâ??s level in relevant subjects such as Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Construction, Quantity Surveying, Data & Analytics, or Technology.
