Graduate Procurement Overview

As a Graduate in Air Procurement at BAE Systems, you will play a crucial role in supporting procurement activities that align with the company’s objectives while enhancing your knowledge in commercial and supply chain management. This position is based in Warton/Samlesbury, Lancashire, and offers a hybrid working model requiring attendance on-site 3-5 days a week.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Managing supplier relationships through regular communication, performance monitoring, and resolving supply or service issues.
• Placing purchase orders promptly, processing procurement requests, and maintaining accurate purchasing records in line with company policies.
• Conducting market analysis and supplier research to identify potential vendors, assess costs, and support sourcing activities that ensure value for money.
• Assisting in supplier negotiations by gathering data, preparing cost analyses, and updating enterprise systems for data accuracy.
• Tracking supplier performance and analyzing procurement data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
• Building effective relationships with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality procurement support.

To qualify for this role, candidates must have obtained or be predicted to obtain at least a 2:2 Bachelorâ??s degree or a pass at Masterâ??s level in any subject. Additionally, applicants must meet the Baseline Personnel Security Standard and may require higher levels of National Security Vetting, necessitating 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK.
