Graduate Product Development Engineer Overview

As a Graduate Product Development Engineer at BAE Systems, you will join an integrated Product and Process Development team, focusing on planning and executing product development engineering activities. This role involves contributing to the creation of new products while gaining insights into design processes and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement projects within product development.
• Plan and conduct product development trials, analyzing technical results.
• Compile data to support design approval and validation activities.
• Prepare technical documentation, including reports and specifications.
• Develop inspection methods and quality control processes to ensure compliance.
• Support product design and systems engineering for new and legacy products.
• Manage product and process design, development, testing, manufacturing, and evaluation activities.
• Prioritize safety in all working practices.
• Conduct and manage trials safely, from planning to execution and reporting.
• Oversee supplier management to ensure timely completion of development activities.
• Assist in generating costed proposals for external customers.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a 2:2 Bachelorâ??s degree or a pass at Masterâ??s level in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Materials Science is required.
