Graduate Project Management & Control Overview

As a Graduate in Project Management & Control at BAE Systems, you will embark on a journey to learn and apply essential project management principles across various stages of project development. This role is based in Samlesbury/Warton, Lancashire, and offers a competitive salary of £34,000 per annum, along with a £2,000 welcome bonus.

Your responsibilities will include monitoring project expenditures, supporting the development of Performance Measurement Baselines, and assisting in risk management processes. You will also engage with stakeholders through regular project reviews and contribute to the collection and analysis of cost and performance data.

Core Duties

• Track project spending against profiles and collaborate with project teams to address any deviations.
• Contribute to the Baseline Change Control process.
• Assist in developing project plans that detail milestones, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Support the Project Manager in delivering project objectives.
• Help create detailed and summary schedules for effective project monitoring and reporting.
• Coordinate project risks and ensure they are regularly updated, supporting risk reviews and presenting status in monthly meetings.

To qualify for this role, you must have achieved or be predicted to achieve a minimum of a 2:2 Bachelorâ??s degree or a pass at Masterâ??s level in relevant subjects such as STEM, Business, Finance, Legal, Project Management, or IT.

This position is a permanent contract with a start date of September 6, 2027. Please note that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to security and export control restrictions, which may affect eligibility based on nationality and residency. Applicants must meet the Baseline Personnel Security Standard and may require higher levels of National Security Vetting.
