As a Graduate Quality Engineer at BAE Systems, you will play a vital role in ensuring quality standards across various projects. This position is based in Warton/Samlesbury, Lancashire, and offers a competitive salary of £34,000 per annum, along with a £2,000 welcome bonus. The role requires a hybrid working pattern, with an expectation to be on-site 3-5 days a week.

Role Overview

In this position, you will support the quality function by engaging in a variety of tasks that will enhance your understanding of the business, its lifecycle phases, supply chain dynamics, and customer needs. You will collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to manage quality issues through thorough investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance and control activities to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Manage and perform internal audits of products, processes, and systems.
• Support third-party audits and approval visits from customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Perform first article verifications and factory acceptance tests for new and updated equipment.
• Provide necessary product certification and release documentation.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement within quality processes.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, at least a 2:2 Bachelorâ??s degree or a Masterâ??s degree in any subject. Strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset are essential for success in this position.
