As a Graduate Solutions Architect at BAE Systems, you will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of technology solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and sustainable architectures that align with enterprise standards and strategic objectives. You will provide guidance throughout the solution lifecycle, ensuring quality, compliance, and effective governance.

You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders across various initiatives, helping to evaluate architectural options, influence decisions, and achieve successful outcomes. Working closely with architects, engineers, project teams, customers, and suppliers, you will support risk management, resolve complex issues, and deliver business value. Your contributions will shape decision-making processes that impact solution direction, project success, and the development of long-term technology capabilities.

Core Duties

• Support the definition of solution architectures and designs for projects to meet business and system requirements, adhering to project constraints of cost and timescale, as well as the agreed architectural and technical framework.
• Capture and define the current and future application, data, and technology architectures.
• Review overall functional and technical designs against established requirements.
• Liaise with internal and external IM&T suppliers and product teams.
• Work effectively with Project Managers to assist in the development of project plans, estimates, and schedules.

To qualify for this role, you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a minimum of a 2:2 Bachelorâ??s degree or a pass at Masterâ??s level in relevant subjects such as Physics, Maths, Systems Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or Computer Science. The start date for this position is September 6, 2027, and it is a permanent contract.
