Join Arm as a Graphics Software Engineer and contribute to shaping the future of graphics technology on billions of Arm-powered devices worldwide. In this role, you will explore and develop innovative graphics techniques, including neural graphics and other forward-looking approaches, to enhance the capabilities of mobile rendering solutions. Your work will involve conducting technical investigations, performance analysis, creating prototypes, and resolving customer issues related to graphics performance and rendering quality.
Collaborating with experienced engineers and industry partners, you will utilize profiling, debugging, experimentation, and modern development tools to analyze real-world workloads. You will also help produce technical demonstrations, documentation, and educational materials to support developer communities. As you gain experience, your understanding of GPU architecture, rendering techniques, graphics APIs, game engines, and system-level performance will deepen, enabling you to contribute more significantly to our projects.
The ideal candidate will possess strong programming skills in C or C++, with a good grasp of real-time graphics processing and familiarity with modern graphics APIs. A foundational knowledge of machine learning and neural networks, along with an interest in applying these to graphics, is essential. The ability to independently prototype and evaluate technical ideas in an R&D environment is also required.
Preferred additional skills include experience with shader languages such as GLSL, HLSL, or Slang, familiarity with GPU APIs like Vulkan, Direct3D 12, Metal, or WebGPU, and knowledge of game engines like Unreal or Unity. Understanding GPU architectures such as Arm Mali and awareness of the broader graphics ecosystem are advantageous.
