Nearform is seeking a strategic and innovative Head of People to lead and transform the company’s global People operations. This senior role involves shaping the People function to be AI-native, scalable, and aligned with Nearform’s growth ambitions. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief People Officer and will be responsible for overseeing People Operations across multiple regions and time zones, ensuring the delivery of high-quality employee services and operational excellence.
Leadership and Strategic Responsibilities
- As a key member of the People Leadership Team, contribute to the overall strategy and direction of HR initiatives, fostering a high-performing, service-oriented department that includes People Operations, Advisory, Talent Acquisition, and Transformation teams.
- Engage with senior leadership across the organization, building strong relationships and positioning the People team as a trusted partner in business decisions.
- Lead the evolution of the People Operations operating model, ensuring it supports Nearformâ??s strategic goals and operational ways of working.
- Manage and develop a high-performing global People Operations team, working through the Operations Lead to deliver excellent employee lifecycle management and service standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging AI, automation, self-service tools, and system integrations to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and enhance employee experience.
- Identify opportunities for AI-driven automation in employee interactions, lifecycle activities, and administrative workflows, maintaining appropriate human oversight.
- Design policies, processes, and systems with scalability and future AI capabilities in mind, embedding transformation into daily operations.
Data, Technology, and Governance
- Oversee the development and management of People data, technology infrastructure, and governance frameworks to support a global, data-led HR function.
- Utilize AI, automation, and integrated workflows to improve data quality, reporting, and decision-making processes.
- Develop advanced workforce analytics to enable evidence-based decisions on costs, capacity, retention, and mobility.
- Maintain compliance and governance across multiple jurisdictions, managing employment regulations, audits, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure the People function is prepared for external audits, certifications, and due diligence activities by maintaining thorough documentation and controls.
Business Partnering and Project Leadership
- Act as a senior strategic partner to departments such as Sales, Solutions, Strategy, Marketing, and Shared Services, understanding their organizational and strategic needs.
- Handle employee relations proactively and advise on organization design, talent management, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.
- Lead strategic projects related to People and organizational change, translating high-level priorities into actionable programs with clear governance and measures.
- Ensure successful implementation of initiatives, embedding new policies, systems, and processes into routine business operations.
Candidate Profile
- Deep understanding of AI-native organizations and how to leverage AI tools and automation to transform HR processes.
- Experience in redesigning work processes through technology, focusing on reducing administrative burdens and improving employee experience.
- Proven leadership in managing global HR teams, with a strong grasp of employee lifecycle, policies, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Commercial awareness, with the ability to connect HR decisions to business costs and growth metrics.
- Strong data literacy and experience managing HR systems and analytics.
- Experience in professional services or consulting environments is advantageous, especially regarding workforce utilization and client delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and challenge existing practices.
- Experience in organizations undergoing significant growth or transformation, including preparing for mergers, acquisitions, or IPOs.
