Altana is seeking a strategic and experienced leader to take charge of its Policy & National Security vertical within the Global Public Sector (GPS) team. This role involves building and expanding a new business area focused on government agencies involved in trade, supply chains, and national security. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing new opportunities, and managing a team of sales professionals. They will act as a senior relationship manager with key government decision-makers, helping them navigate technology transformations and long-term agency investments.

In this foundational business development position, you will own the entire sales cycle from identifying opportunities to closing large-scale government contracts. Your role includes shaping strategic pursuits, building trusted relationships across operational and strategic levels within agencies, and partnering with external system integrators and prime contractors to extend Altanaâ??s reach. You will work closely with various internal teamsâ??including Global Public Sector leadership, Government Affairs, Capture, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Executive Managementâ??to align efforts and maximize success.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in public sector sales leadership, with a proven ability to grow pipelines and manage teams. Deep knowledge of government procurement processes, contracting mechanisms, and a strong network within government and industry sectors are essential. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to influence senior stakeholders, and the resilience to navigate lengthy government procurement cycles. Eligibility to obtain and hold a U.S. Security Clearance is also required.

Compensation includes a competitive salary, with UK salaries ranging from £130,000 to £155,000 GBP, and US salaries from $200,000 to $250,000 USD, depending on experience. Most full-time offers include equity grants, and the company provides performance bonuses or variable pay plans.
