The Role
As a Lead AI Consultant, you will play a crucial role in guiding teams through the process of integrating AI into their workflows. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver AI-enabled software solutions.
- Helping clients discern where AI can provide value and where it may not be applicable.
- Advising on and developing AI features such as intelligent search, document comprehension, and decision support tools.
- Implementing strong engineering practices to ensure sustainable success.
- Coaching client engineers on the safe adoption of AI tools and techniques.
- Contributing to the internal capability building at Softwire through the development of reusable approaches and learning initiatives.
Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Significant experience as a senior software engineer or tech lead with a proven ability to deliver production software.
- Technical leadership skills, capable of guiding project direction and making informed decisions.
- Practical experience in applying AI within development teams.
- Strong engineering fundamentals, including automated testing and operational readiness.
- Confidence in managing AI-related risks and uncertainties.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively bridge business and technical needs.
