Capgemini is seeking an experienced Lead AI Engineer to design, develop, and operationalize sophisticated AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI systems suitable for enterprise deployment. This role focuses on bridging the gap between initial AI prototypes and fully integrated business solutions, ensuring that AI models and data solutions are scaled responsibly and reliably to generate maximum business value. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating comprehensive end-to-end AI/ML systems, including data preparation, model development, deployment, feature store management, and continuous monitoring of models in production environments.
In addition, the Lead AI Engineer will leverage the latest Generative AI and Agentic Frameworks such as ADK, Langgraph, Microsoft Agent Framework, and Llamaindex to develop innovative AI solutions. They will translate client requirements into scalable cloud-based architectures across major providers like Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Amazon Web Services. Leading cross-functional teams to execute complex AI projects is a key part of this role, along with designing and implementing Generative AI solutions such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, agentic workflows, and large language model orchestration.
Embedding safety, ethical considerations, and explainability into AI solutions is critical to ensure responsible AI deployment. The Lead AI Engineer will work closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Business Stakeholders to ensure AI initiatives deliver measurable business impact. Responsibilities also include developing client demonstrations, supporting proposals, and creating reusable frameworks to accelerate delivery across multiple projects. The role offers opportunities for thought leadership through writing blogs, developing internal accelerators, and exploring emerging AI topics like Agentic AI and LLMOps.
Ideal candidates will have experience working in consulting or industry environments with a proven ability to succeed in complex, matrixed organizations. They should have a strong background in designing and implementing MLOps strategies, deploying AI solutions at scale, and working with cloud-native architectures. Hands-on experience with Generative AI frameworks, pipeline automation tools, and large language model APIs is essential. Candidates must also be proficient in CI/CD, containerization, and familiar with modern data architectures and system integration patterns.
