Capgemini is seeking a highly skilled Lead AI Engineer to join their team, focusing on designing, building, and operationalizing advanced AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI systems suitable for enterprise deployment. The role involves bridging the gap between initial AI prototypes and fully integrated business solutions, ensuring that AI solutions are scaled responsibly and reliably while delivering tangible business value.

The Lead AI Engineer will be responsible for creating comprehensive AI/ML systems, from data preparation and model development to deployment, feature store management, and continuous monitoring. They will utilize the latest Generative AI and Agentic Frameworks such as ADK, Langgraph, Microsoft Agent Framework, and Llamaindex to deliver innovative solutions tailored to client needs.

A key part of the role involves translating client use case requirements into scalable data and AI architectures, leveraging cloud services across major hyperscalers like Azure, GCP, and AWS. The engineer will lead multidisciplinary teams to execute complex projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.

Designing and deploying Generative AI solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, agentic workflows, and large language model orchestration across cloud platforms, is central to this position. The engineer will embed safety, ethical, and evaluation mechanisms throughout the AI lifecycle to ensure responsible and explainable solutions.

Collaboration with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders is essential to ensure AI initiatives generate measurable impact. The role also involves contributing to business development through creating client demonstrations, supporting proposals, and sharing best practices internally.

Additional responsibilities include developing reusable frameworks, engaging in thought leadership activities such as writing blogs, and exploring emerging AI topics like Agentic AI and LLMOps to support capability growth.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience working within a major consulting firm or industry, demonstrating a consulting mindset and success in delivering AI solutions within complex organizational structures.
  • Proven ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to define requirements and develop tailored AI solutions.
  • Strong background in MLOps strategies, frameworks, and deploying AI/ML solutions at scale from initial concept to production.
  • Deep expertise in Generative AI and Agentic AI, including RAG pipelines, embeddings, evaluation tools, and orchestration frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience designing cloud-native AI architectures on platforms such as Azure, GCP, AWS, or Databricks.
  • Experience deploying and scaling AI solutions using tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, Azure ML, or Vertex Pipelines.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, Autogen, or Google ADK.
  • Ability to design and implement RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and integrate with large language model APIs like OpenAI, Anthropic, or Hugging Face.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD practices and containerization technologies including GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Preferred skills include AI system performance evaluation, prompt engineering, A/B testing, and quality assessment frameworks.
  • Understanding of modern data architectures such as lakehouse models, vector databases, and relational or NoSQL data stores.
  • Knowledge of API gateways, event streaming, and integration patterns.
