Lead Solutions Engineer, EUI Overview

As a Lead Solutions Engineer at TikTok, you will be part of a specialized Solutions Engineering team responsible for managing relationships with TikTok’s advertising clients. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to solve complex problems through technology. You will collaborate with various business verticals to unlock the potential of new features and products, supporting cross-functional teams including R&D, Customer Success, and Product Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, production-grade solutions in collaboration with TikTok Product Engineering teams to meet evolving business and client needs.
• Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert within the Solutions Engineering organization, providing architectural guidance and promoting engineering excellence.
• Utilize TikTok’s products and innovative technology to identify, develop, and maximize new and existing commercial opportunities with advertising clients.
• Foster close partnerships with the customer success team to identify potential business opportunities and assist them in achieving their business objectives.
• Design and construct end-to-end systems and launch strategies; deploy production-level code with a focus on long-term maintainability and scalability, including necessary documentation and test plans, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Independently identify stakeholders and align cross-functional partners towards project completion goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Leverage data to influence decision-making by presenting business value and impact.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in a senior technical leadership role such as Lead Engineer, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Technical Lead.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in programming, technical solution backend design, and delivery to clients or advertisers.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including but not limited to Python, Go, Java, or C/C++.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and management skills for advertising client and partner relationships.
• Ability to tailor presentations to the audience’s technical level and effectively communicate technical subjects to diverse groups.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in advertising technology working with large volume data analytics.
