Join Arm as an experienced Machine Learning Framework and Runtime Software Engineer, based in Cambridge, UK. This role involves developing and optimizing C++ software components for machine learning inference engines, runtime systems, and backend integration frameworks. You will analyze and resolve complex issues related to functionality and performance across various software layers, working closely with multidisciplinary teams including runtime, compiler, driver, and hardware engineers. Your work will encompass graph processing, operator execution, memory management, and backend integration to ensure efficient execution of AI models.

In this position, you will contribute to designing, developing, testing, and enhancing solutions within a large, modular codebase. Your responsibilities include benchmarking, profiling, and validating AI models to improve system performance. You will also develop backend mechanisms such as delegates, execution providers, plugins, and other integration tools, with opportunities to work on GPU programming and utilize acceleration technologies like Vulkan, OpenCL, or TOSA.

Additional tasks involve designing Ahead-of-Time (AOT) and Just-in-Time (JIT) compilation flows for AI workloads, performing graph transformations, operator partitioning, scheduling, memory planning, and model optimization. Building automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines will be part of your role to support large-scale deployment and validation efforts. You will responsibly apply AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and software quality.
